The Quiraing

"Don't you see yon bonnie, bonnie road
That lies across the ferny brae?
That is the road to fair Elfland
Where you and I this night must go."
Thomas the Rhymer, Steeleye Span

Our visit to Scotland really is Otherworldly, the landscapes are so incredible. We made a detour off the main road to see The Quiraing, a landslip on one of the peaks on the northernmost edge of the Trotternish range on Skye. We gave the Fairy Glen a miss as we were pushed for time, a few days just isn't anywhere near enough to do justice to this island. I also found out that Thomas the Rhymer, or True Thomas, was a Scottish laird and reputed prophet.
