New Boots, New Start

I was awake early – too early.  I eventually plucked up the courage to look out the window – it was bright and dry.  We had friends coming for a  barbeque and everything was crossed in the hope that it would be at least dry.  I started my day with a lovely seven mile run, before getting home and starting on the chores.  Meanwhile the boys went to church then BB was playing as a “trialist” with our local football team.  He hasn’t been happy playing with his current team, so it is time to try elsewhere.  TT assured me he would do the food shopping – expect he didn’t bring it home!

I got to a point where I had run out of chores and wanted to get food sorted out.  Eventually they appeared home.  BB was happy.  TT said he had played well and the new coach was in agreement.  We’ll see how it goes.

I got stuck into food prep and before too  long our guests started to arrive.  We were very lucky with the weather.  Sunny, cloudy, but most of all dry.  We sat out all afternoon  and into the early evening.  It was a lovely afternoon and as ever we were sad to see them all go – and of course we were left with the clearing up.  TT and I shared the chores and soon got through it.

A lovely day and perhaps a new start for BB’s football with his shiny new football boots.  The extra is M’s delicious macarons!
