Ullswater

Peter & I had a late start and leisurely breakfast, both of us needing a little extra sleep.

We then headed up Sheffield Pike to admire Ullswater from a higher vantage point. Wild flowers, including Butterworts seemed to be popping up everywhere and we enjoyed a picnic on the sunny hillside.

Avoiding an ugly disused quarry we found our own place to cross the stream, necessitating a bit of scrambling too... and Peter survived! (He doesn’t generally like heights or drops or tricky bits).

We finished up waking alongside Ulswater. A lovely day.
