Campbell Hall Graduation Class of 2019

I think the pictures speak for themselves...

We learned from last year and took Uber through the traffic to the Dorothy Chandler  Pavillion where were dropped at the curb. We were early enough that I was able to get a picture of the huge crystal chandeliers (which I still remember from the days when I used to go there to hear the L.A.Philharmonic).

The procession of the class of 2019 was led in by a pipe band, Claire spoke for the last time as student body president, awards were presented, then diplomas and it was over.

We surged outside as the sun was going down and milled around with all the other graduates and their families.
Keeping a group of eight together in the milling throngs was like herding cats, which is why OilMan isn't in this picture. He had gone off in search of some of the others. Amed with prior experience, we ultimately made it to the curb where we were picked up by another Uber driver who whisked us to Hollywood and dinner.

The restaurant seemed to be almost entirely outside and it had cooled off enough to be extremely pleasant. Claire ordered a number of appetizers which arrived all at once. My only criticism was that we weren't told which was which and all of us had our phone flashlights out to help discern what we were eating...

Another Uber driver brought us home whereupon Claire and Julia took another Uber to a party which was just getting underway at 11pm...

I'll bet you can't guess where we were at 11pm....
