More rain

We went for a mooch round Sheringham today whilst there was a break in the appalling weather and saw the continuing work being carried out to the 8m deep sink hole which opened up in the High Street on 25 May last. The high street is still closed to traffic and it’s not known how long the repairs are going to take. Meanwhile the businesses remain open but access to them must be a nightmare.

We heard on the news that the heavy rainfall has caused a serious cliff collapse in Sidestrand, near Cromer this morning and which we were so close to yesterday at Overstrand. The break in the weather hasn’t lasted ..... it’s raining, again but we had a lovely afternoon with a Lancaster Bomber Navigator and his dear wife who makes and displays beautiful silver jewellery in Blakeney. Our friends provided a delicious afternoon tea and the conversations just flowed and flowed, particularly between the two pilots, Mr T being one, of course!!
