Rain, rain and more rain

What a week! The weather has been atrocious and the result is a really high river.

I popped into town today to meet my cousin who is visiting Shrewsbury with her friend for the weekend. She's staying in an Air BNB by the river and it's lovely.
We couldn't park as town was heaving due to it being the carnival today and when I walked from the Boathouse I was walking against the tide as the hundreds who'd watched the carnival returned home. I timed it just right as I hate carnivals and crowds.
