practiced

I went back to the eagles' nest and practiced some more. This time I got to practice on flying birds. I didn't get any great shots of flying birds, but I know that practice improves technique and birds are hard, so if I practice on birds I should be able to take good shots of moving animals in Yellowstone. Actually, when I was in South Africa there was only one chase scene - with, fortunately, no capture, so the ability to photograph moving animals was just not needed.

Then for the evening walk I practiced long exposure.

In the meantime I shaved poor Samuel. Poodles and similar dogs have hair, not fur, and you have to cut it or it will grow too long and knot into dreads.
