It's a lovely day in the neighborhood....

....57 degrees, overcast and windy--seems to be the stalled weather pattern that's been hovering here for days now--but I'm one that doesn't mind it very much. This is a SECTION of the neighborhood of Bayview, & the people who live here are lucky to have a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan out their front windows, hence the name of the city.  Bayview is only two miles from downtown Milwaukee, but it's a world apart. Lovely little cafes and shops line Kinnickinnic Ave. (which "natives" simply refer to as "KK", for obvious reasons), South Shore Park is just beyond these homes, and it's an extremely friendly, walkable place. My tiny City of Saint Francis borders Bayviews' South end, & we're lucky to have miles of connected parks & trails all along the edge of the Lake.
