Orchids

Sunshine. And a grand outing with members of the Arnside and District Natural History Society. We went to a Cumbria Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve based on an old disused railway track.

It is well known for its flora. Here are two Northern Marsh orchids and the extra shows a Lesser Butterfly Orchid.

There were several others including Fragrant Orchid and Common Spotted. Unfortunately in recent years a virus has led to the loss of the Frog Orchids.
Also lots of Globe Flowers and Birdseye Primrose.
