Umbrella Project, Heathrow

All went well until we waited for 40 minutes in the baggage hall for our “Priority” luggage to be delivered. Everyone else had collected their stuff and were on their way before those of us who had their baggage tagged as priority got theirs!

It didn’t matter anyway as the M25 was a zoo, taking 3 hours 15 minutes to cover the 63 miles which usually takes about 65 minutes. A 12 mile jam behind emergency repairs which turned out to be a small square of tarmac and about 50 metres of coned off carriageway. There was no suitable alternative route. Just what we didn’t need after a transatlantic flight.

It was a pleasant flight, having upgraded to Business with Avios, we slept 6 1/2 hours waking for breakfast only 90 from landing.

On the way to the car park we saw all these umbrellas. Quite appropriate as it was teeming with rain
