Wanderings & Witterings

Gorilla

Our Ramblers had a day out at the seaside on Tuesday. Remarkably it stayed dry, and even sunny at times, for our trip to Ayr.

Our bus dropped us off at Rozelle Park and we walked around that, taking in the remarkable sculpted World War One memorials, before walking over to Belleisle Park and its wonderful conservatory and walled garden. Our route then took us down onto the Esplanade, where some of us took the opportunity to walk along the beach (see extra) before rejoining the rest of the group near the town centre. (Came across this gorilla sculpture there, but don't know the background.) Plenty of time for lunch and a wander before the bus brought us back to Cumbernauld.

It was a fine day out.
