North Coast 500

There’s a place called Badcall... and sorry if anyone here lives there, but that choice... was it a good call? It is very pretty.

We are continuing along the north coast 500, following some fantastically twisty steep and challenging yet well tarmac’d roads, mostly single track with passing places.

Some of the numerous four wheel traffic is really good about using passing places, and some motor homes believe motorcycles all have reverse gear and can go back up the hill. I know some motorcycles do in fact have reverse gears - ours don’t. We do however have the patience of Job and sit there waiting for them to catch on.

We’re in Bettyhill tonight, which sounds fun doesn’t it. Tomorrow it’s the inevitable John O’Groats photo opportunity and a change of tack southwards to Inverness.

In other news apparently Janet has held a one year old’s party for Ivy. I reckon north of Scotland was a viable excuse...
