For David

We refuelled the car before rejoining the motorway.

When the kids were small we used to count Eddie Stobart lorries. I still get excited when I see them. Yesterday we saw 32 and today it was 19.

We chose to confuse the satnav lady and not take the direct route to Kinloch Rannoch but to cross the new Forth Road Bridge, the Queensferry Crossing. In the extra you can see the three bridges.

After arriving at the lodge we went back into Pitlochry for a cup of tea at Hettie’s. It was nearing closing time but unlike some of the tea rooms I’ve experienced we were invited to come in and find a table. People were still coming in well after closing time.

We then bought some provisions at the local supermarket. On the way back we stopped at the head of the Loch where we had left a piece of slate from David's Acer last year. It’s a lovely view. David always loved it.

Although the sky is rather grey Schiehallion turned an amazing colour as the sun went down. See HtP’s photo.

Still coughing.
