Mossman gorge

Daintree trip two!

Picked up the camper at 9am, we went for the cheapest $18 rent + $30 insurance / day! (£9 + £15 / day) two seater van, with a terrible paint job on it.

The engine was disgusting and the gear box worse, but it drove smoothly and in a straight line so did the job. Unfortunately it didn't include bedding so we borrowed some from Mattias' landlord.

We restocked at Woollies (Woolworths is a supermarket in Australia) and set off north. First stop was port Douglas, pretty pleasant, you can tell this is where the wealth in the area goes (if cairns is where the backpackers go).

Next was Mossman gorge, which I'd already been to. I had been wanting to return to have the chance to actually relax a bit on the beach there, and try and catch the fish.

Then we drove across the river stoping occasionally to check out the deserted (croc infested) tropical beaches. The weather and night was closing in at this point so we looked for somewhere to camp and eat. We found both at PKs tropical something or other.
