Heavens above

After a reasonable morning, the skies turned grey at lunchtime and by afternoon the lightning, thunderstorms and rain arrived. I did try briefly to try and get some photos of the massive raindrops, one of those photos with the drop frozen as it rebounds. No luck, too little light and an incompetent photographer.

It was very late before the rain had reduced to a drizzle and I could get out with Luna for a walk. The photo is awful but in reality looked much better, a glimpse of sunshine in the far distance with some impressive large tall menacing clouds. All the streams in the area are almost at the point of breaking out of their banks but as this should now be the end of this bad spell, there is no threat of flooding.

Next week is set to be a corker with 30°C +
