Blairbridge

Our Ramblers walk on Tuesday was in and around Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge. After the heavy rain of Monday we were delighted to have dry, albeit overcast, weather when we set out. The fact that this changed to warm and sunnier weather as the morning wore on was even better.

We entered the Park near the Blairbridge Arch (pictured). Designed by Andy Scott (of Kelpies, Arria, etc fame) and unveiled in 2011 it features a number of superheroes (the central one is called Captain Coatbridge!) and pays homage to local comic-book writer Mark Millar.
