Mad hatter

We awoke with a start thanks to a brass band accompanying the http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-20191179 homecoming parade. The bride and groom, who were also staying on the Royal Mile, texted to say that they'd arranged this event as an alarm clock. It made us giggle. Since it was such a nice day, we headed up Arthur's Seat. A few folk in our party hadn't been up there and didn't know what to expect. They weren't expecting a proper hill, even though we'd told them. There was some inappropriate footwear, but no one slipped, although there were a couple of comical almosts. At the summit, we were awarded with a fantastic view and blue skies.

We enjoyed a late lunch feast at the City Café. Afterwards, we headed down to the record shop in the Grassmarket for vinyl goodies, then most folk headed out to see "Skyfall", but Fred and I had already seen it. Instead, we walked around some of my old Edinburgh haunts and I found that my feet knew the way even when my memory didn't, which was a little weird.

We met up with the others back at the flat for a nightcap. A perfect day.
