Boston Symphony Orchestra

Today has been a good day. I went to the pub at 9am this morning with some guys I have met through the programme to watch the rugby. A Scotland victory is always welcome, especially when there are a couple of really good tries in there! The pub really filled up for the Ireland/England game, and it was a great game to watch... Apart from some of the illegal and brutal behaviour on the part of one of the teams. They deserved more than 2 yellow cards, and possibly even a red. There was some really dangerous stuff going on.

Later on group of us headed into town for dinner and then to hear the Boston Symphony Orchestra. I didn't know any of the work but I really enjoyed it - especially the Scherzo from the Dvorak symphony (No 6). The Symphony Hall is beautiful and nicely lit, and we were in a great position to appreciate it right up at the back - it was an obvious blip choice! Afterwards we went to the cocktail bar at the top of the Prudential tower for a nightcap...

It's been a full day and great fun, but notably lacking in work... That goes for Friday night too, so I guess the agenda for tomorrow is work, work, work....

Best get to bed then!
