Long day in the car

Took a day trip to Brompton-en-Swale today to pick up the repaired caravan. Lunch in their cafe was welcome after sitting for 3 hours. The dealers are lovely people and had noticed a couple of things when they carried out the service and raised warranty claims which were completed without fuss or cost.

Another 3 hours coming back via the A66/M74 and other roads too numerous to mention as we put the van back into its storage home for 10 days or so.

Home for good old mince and tatties with doughballs and peas - yum.

My poor attempt at mono Monday’s theme on patriotism is a blip of a tea towel I bought ages ago with the intention of displaying somewhere - it’s theme is the John Muir Way; a 175km path stretching from Dunbar in the east to Helensburgh in the west. It’s a path I would like to walk one day. It’s named after the Dunbar-born conservationist who emigrated to America as a boy and went on to become the father of the American national parks. The way itself open in 2014 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death.
I consider myself a patriotic Scot and am very proud of my Scottish heritage whilst also remaining a British citizen.
Thanks to Carolina for hosting.
