London

Another interesting day in the big city.
As 'country bumpkins' we are getting used to the quantity of bodies on buses, trains and tubes - but being hot these modes of transport are quite stuffy!
We had to leave home very early to ensure we got to our first stop before the first booked tickets - the Sky Garden at the Walkie Talkie - there are a couple of hours of 'walk in' before the ticketed folk arrive.  It is a haven of tranquility where we enjoyed coffee and croissant in a beautiful space with wonderful flowers and an all round view of the City.  I'd recommend it to anyone needing a little p&q!
We used a water taxi today which was great fun and gave us another view of the wonderful city buildings.
We enjoyed walking a bit again  - along towards the Tate Modern  where again we were able to view the cityscape from one of their high floors.  We popped into the Globe briefly  en route and then went over the Millennium Bridge which is no longer bouncy!   We lunched nr St Pauls and then took a bus to Trafalgar Square.
We were exhausted so early afternoon headed home and are relaxing watching the tennis!
