Endearing

There's something very endearing about watching a man shear a sheep. It takes exactly the right amount of strength and gentleness. Being too rough results in an unhappy and fidgety sheep. Being too gentle results in an unhappy and fidgety sheep. Just so, is the way.

So when Stu invited me down to take some photos of him and the boys shearing a whole load of sheep (a couple of thousand, I believe), I jumped at the chance.

He introduced me to the family who own, look after and shear the sheep, and boy do they work hard!

Here you have the young grandson watching Stu's every move.

He then embarked on a sheep himself. He did a great job, but in the end the sheep proved to be too big for him (he has tonsillitis at the moment), and so Stu finished it off for him.

Granddad watched on all the while; watching his grandson follow the fine family tradition.

Thanks, Stu, for letting me come along and take some pics.

Happy New Year to you all.

God bless.
