Rural life

I went with three friends to The Rural Life Centre, an award winning museum near Farnham. We had an interesting afternoon exploring old buildings and sheds crammed full of relics from old trades and rural industries. Some of the buildings had been rescued from demolition. There was an iron foundry and a tiny chapel. We enjoyed looking at a 1952 prefab - my aunt lived in one for several years. Also bringing back memories was the Morrison shelter (extra). The museum was in a lovely setting with tall trees. At the end of our visit we sat outside with a mug of tea with home made cake. I should take Normous there some time, I think he would enjoy it.
