Sea Fortress Suomenlinna

I took a ferry to the fortress which is a designated UNESCO world heritage site. It’s beautiful and picturesque. You could easily spend the whole day there. I’m glad I went early, when I returned at about 2pm there were LONG queues for the ferry.

Afterwards, I used my travel pass to catch the tram to the Rock Church Temppellaukio. A unique church that it is built in a rock formation which creates amazing acoustics. In addition to traditional church services, it’s used for concerts.

What a great city Helsinki is!
