Maodal

The forecast was for sunny and warm weather but being surrounded by sea meant that it was a bit different with low cloud and haar to burn off before the promised weather arrived. We drove down the golden road to Rodal, had a look around the church, went to the shop to see the Harris tapestries that were done as a millennium project before having lunch. The weather then brightened up so we went up the Marilyn of Ceapabhal above Tràigh an Taoibh Thuath in the afternoon. It was quite pleasantly warm but there was a breeze to keep the midges away as we went up the hill. Being isolated the views were great, although the higher Harris hills remained in the cloud. On the way back to the van the reflection of Maodal caught my eye and makes a blip. The collage is a few shots of and from Maodal and one of the coast near Tràigh Sheileboist.

Yesterday’s blip.
