Looking for colour

Since I've come back home, I've noticed the lack of colour everywhere. It seems to be an in-between time for flowers right now in my neighbourd. The roses have finished blooming, for now.   Walking up the hill to an early morning appointment, I noticed that there were flowers growing along the roadside, in the green patches of dried-out grass around all the trees.  Oh good! Colour at last, in the form of these cheerful Hollyhocks which put a smile on my face!
