The North Side

The hedgerow colours have changed - the montbretia is out, competing with meadowsweet, purple loosestrife and tufted vetch. A little further down more colours clash with fuchsia and ragwort. I reckon I blip this patch every year for its so striking.

I dropped himself off on the ferry then did a bit of pootling at home before heading back in to Bantry for another talk at the Literary Festival. This time it was Himself's tutor Adam Weymouth & Rosita Boland in conversation, two travel writers and both very entertaining. (if you follow that link, can you see me in the banner photo??) Elsewhere: One Woman, One Rucksack, One Lifetime of Travel and Kings of the Yukon are two more books going straight on the list! We would have bought them there and then except the queue was mighty.
