Blue Heaven

A quick snoop ( permission granted) around this delightful little cottage, now empty and verging on derelict. It's an early one, snuggling underneath a mountain in a very fertile area full of native bush and flood plains. I reckon it might date from the 1860s and is fairly typical- rectangular plan, two original rooms with extension, central door, two casement windows (original panes and glass) and a corrugated iron roof. There are various dilapidated sheds and what must once have been a veg garden, small cottage garden and a paddock.  I pressed my nose against the windows (you can do the same - see extra) and the interior looked pretty original too but had been much loved until fairly recently - the blue theme carrying on inside and lots of hand painted details.  See the side view here . Another potential one on my list!

A full on Esme day followed, sandpit, swing, beach, Pupu Springs and a lot of giggling and chat. Wrecked now!
