Red Squirrel.

Since we got the all clear to start feding again the squirrels have started to visit us again.  This shot shows the new feeder, made from Stokbord, which is recycled plastic.  This material means we don't need to worry about the wood rotting, so no concern about nasty chemicals in any preservative we may have used.  It also means that the surfaces are imperious and much easier to clean and steralise.  Just as you need to clean and disinfect bird feeders to prevent the spread of such things as finch papilomavirusn squirrel feeders need disinfected routinely as well.

The rest of the day was a normal with a visit to Kanyl followed by a trip out to the Penrith Show field where we will be setting up tomorrow with the show on Saturday.
