Crummock Water from Mellbreak

Deb was walking with one of her friends today (having a "girly chat" walk), I went over with her and whilst they walked Hen Comb, I walked Mellbreak. The start of the walk is steep and scree-covered - very technical and difficult. The rest is wonderful (though still pretty boggy in places. I thought as we've had such a long dry period, it gave me the best chance to keep my feet dry, which I managed. The views from the top of Mellbreak were simply stunning, with Crummock water offering some great reflections early on in the walk.

The three of us all arrived back in the Kirkstile Inn at Loweswater within a 20 min time period. Good timing all round.
