I'm pleased to report that the digital housekeeping I was engaging in yesterday was largely successful, thanks in no small part to little mac app called Gemini. Somebody recommended MacKeeper, but I didn't like the reviews it got online. Gemini sorted out all the problems of duplicates in my photos and documents folders. Once I've sorted out the rest of my photos for 2012, and done some more archive blipping, I'm going to take all my old photos off my laptop and liberate 40GB of space.
