Carpet of Colour

A visit from Graham this morning for some blipfoto work. After a good lunch, we headed out together for some photos at Brill windmill and surrounding area. The windmill is surrounded by scaffolding at present having it's sails repainted so photos of it presented a challenge but there is plenty of other things around to photograph.

Having gone our separate ways, we headed home but spotted a field in the distance with an unusual colour for the area. Annie's navigation skills got us as close as possible and a walk then got us exactly where we needed to be. The crop is Echium and is being grown on the Waddesdon estate (so said the sign!) for the second year. Sorry Graham for not spotting this earlier!
