Magnificent Mint Beetle

What a gorgeous creature this mint beetle is! I found it clinging to a grass stem but coaxed it onto a yarrow flower as that was more stable in the wind.

The willow emerald damselfly was on station again in Butterfly Alley and we spotted Reynard on our late walk this evening. It's the first time I've seen a fox for quite a while.
