Dunbar delights and downpours

"At least the rain's stopped!" he said sociably as he was heading towards the John Muir Way. We were on our way back, watching the hugest black cloud rolling in. It was one of those moments where a musical, "It's be...hind you!" is the only response to be had. We were spared for all but the last ten minutes of our outing but you can get pretty wet in a ten-minute downpour!

We walked out to Barns Ness lighthouse, a pretty little walk - so many flowers and possibly found a fossil. There's a huge cement works nearby which I'm wondering whether they invest in some of the upkeep of the area. Little Dog was hot in the humidity but we found this perfect rock pool for her to have a splash and lay down in. And of course, the rain was a good cooler too!

Everything's hanging 'in' to dry. Coffee time and chilling before, possibly, an evening walk into Dunbar.

...After whiling away a few hours eating various goodies and plotting a van layout to take bikes on the inside, we walked in almost dry clothes to Dunbar along the coast. It was a good old distance so we didn't mooch in Dunbar but turned around and enjoyed the wildlife along the coast again, managing to avoid all golf balls.

A plan is hatched for tomorrow, the sun is almost on the horizon and we're both pretty pooped. Lights out for me!
