Old Wall

A very early start to the day, out with Finlay at 5 a.m. Surprisingly we didn’t meet anyone and the paper shop was still closed!

On the road north before 7, arriving at Mrs madwill’s mother’s house just on 8 to find the removal wagon parked outside! Fortunately MIL had moved out a couple of days ago, so were able to let the removal team get on it with it! One wardrobe had to be ‘dismantled’ as it wouldn’t turn the corner at the bottom of the stairs...it was originally taken upstairs before some structural alterations were made to the hallway. (oops)

It took a little longer than expected (mainly because of the wardrobe) and they were gone by 11:30.

We left at 12, seemed strange that it would be the last time we would see that house.. 41 years they have lived there. It also means an end to our weekly ‘care run’ that has bee a fixture for the last couple of years. What will we do with our Wednesdays now??

Stopped of at a cafe for some lunch, spotted this old wall in the car park. I liked the textures created by the high sun shining down it.

Home for a cuppa and then on to the studio for more fabric work!

Apologies for lack of comments on journals...not even had time to read most of them today. They are all saved though....
