ABSTRACT THURSDAY - REPETITION

It’s too hot!
It’s too hot!
It’s too hot!

Job done for Abstract Thursday - in a photograph and words and I do believe I can see a little face in there - so some pareidolia too!

The shot is of my lunch today - berries with a repetition of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and flaked almonds - oh, and a splodge of Greek yoghourt - it really is too hot to eat much, but guess I had better go and see what I can spiralize!

“Few tasks are more like the
     torture of Sisyphus
          than housework,
               with its endless repetition:
the clean becomes soiled,
     the soiled is made clean,
          over and over,
               day after day.”
Simone de Beauvoir : The Second Sex

P.S.  I had never heard of Sisyphus so had to look up who he was - but to save you the job, here is what I found out:

Sisyphus is probably more famous for his punishment in the underworld than for what he did in his life. According to the Greek myth, Sisyphus is condemned to roll a rock up to the top of a mountain, only to have the rock roll back down to the bottom every time he reaches the top. The gods were wise in perceiving that an eternity of futile labour is a hideous punishment.

P.P.S.  Just think - 5 months today, it will be Christmas Day and in the UK, we will probably be freezing so enjoy the heat!
