What a lovely calm sea we had this morning!

We were at the beach earlier today to escape the heat. Gosh it really is hot today. yesterday we had humid heat with humidity at 97% in the morning. Today the humidity is at 20% as the wind blows from inland.

What a change in weather. It's hot, but I'm not sweating through clothes like I have been for the past 5 weeks. Dry heat is so much better, at least as a change. It's nearing 33°C in the shade. According to forecast at 8 pm it will be still 33°C and at midnight 30°C. They call tomorrow cooler with max at 30°C :-D

This evening at our local plaza there will be George Michael and Tiger of Wales Tom Jones. To have GM rise from the dead and come to our small plaza...

Well, that's how it was advertised. Not telling if it's a cover band or imitation or what... Anyway I like George Micheal's music too much to miss this. So we will go take a look what's going on over there. I just have to try to be awake at 8 pm. Perhaps I'll have another Piña Colada!

And it's my name day in Finland. It's also National Sleepy Head Day. Finnish: Unikeonpäivä is celebrated in Finland on July 27 every year. Traditionally on this day, the last person in the house (also dubbed as the "laziest") to wake up is woken up using water, either by being thrown into a lake or the sea, or by having water thrown on them. In the city of Naantali, a Finnish celebrity is chosen every year to be thrown in the sea from the city's port at 7 a.m. The identity of the sleeper is kept secret until the event. People who are chosen have usually done something to the benefit of the city. This year's sleepy head was a longtime Chairman of the Naantali City Council, Deputy Judge Markku Tuuna.

I've never been a sleepy head, but I do like to be in the water.
