Hot hot hot

Phew. I've never been so hot on a cycle home. I drank my whole bottle of water, which is highly unusual for me. Mind you, I was pleased to be running on my own speed rather than being on a bus or train. The local trains were up the spout anyway because of overhead lines sagging in the heat. 

Luckily, the office is air-conditioned so working is comfortable. I feel for those who aren't so lucky. I saw that some of the cafes had closed because of the heat – a sensible decision.

When I went out at lunch, it was really strange to feel the wind as warm as it was. It was like being in a warm bath.

Juno slept on the windowsill last night and I blipped him first thing.
