Such a beauty!

I nearly missed this little beauty this morning when I emptied the trap as it was sitting neatly camouflaged on the fishing net. I am so glad I noticed it though as it is a real stunner.
The Tree lichen beauty Cryphia algae, is a mostly migrant species with very few records prior to 1991. Recently however it has become more frequent in Southern and South-eastern counties, although this is the first time I have ever trapped one in my garden.
On another note I also caught another Dark Crimson underwing.  Mothing life is good at the moment!
