A Day Worth Recording

Unexpected Meeting

Semi-aimlessly wandering around the centre of Bristol prior to meeting up with M&C this evening.  Accidently came across this building which was the Quaker Meeting House from (presumably) 1747 to 1956, and the site of the Quaker Meeting since 1670.

Any remaining Quaker spirits from those times won't be impressed it's now a brasserie (which, I've just discovered, is French for brewery).

Interestingly, one 'target' shop had been John Lewis.  However, they are out on the Cribbs Causeway trading estate and we really didn't fancy shopping in a soulless sea of car parks. So, we bought clothes from some city-centre independents instead, and were pleased to do so.
