Love and Loyalty

This morning I read in Proverbs 3v3:

Don’t lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.
Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart.

At lunchtime, we went to the Adega, as usual on a Saturday (though I really didn't feel like it). Zé Maria greeted us, a bit worse for wear (also as usual), with his gorgeous smile and kind eyes, and told us he was shortly off to Lisbon to visit a friend who was in intensive care because, he said, "A friend visits you - in prison and in hospital."

Zé Maria was our first friend in Mourão, and I hope we'll always be loyal and loving to him as friends should be. Even when it means having a tintinho with him, when it's the last thing you feel like...

Gratefuls:
- Zé Maria, love that man
- Maria at the market - look at the size of her pumpkins (in extra)
- the Padre; off to a baptism shortly, and then our weekly meal
