A day in the life

Time to plan for the future. It's been a good summer, productive and colourful. My plants has produced flowers to attracted bees and bumblebees only to lure them into spread their pollen by offering food. A neat trick that seems to have paid off nicely in this case. All there is left to do now is to wait for the next windy day and the job of surviving into the next generation is done. That shouldn't take too long since autumn is approaching rapidly.

The extra shows the lovely Hortensia in my front garden, still in bloom. On Öland we have limestone ground which makes the soils Ph value high and that makes the flowers go pink or nearly red. Had it been low, the flowers would have been blue.
