Butter wouldn't melt

Seconds before, he had attacked S's naked foot.

Photo opportunities still a bit limited, so it's time Mystère had an outing again. It's been a busy weekend nevertheless. Yesterday evening, S and R invited about 40 people round to their house and we spent a lovely evening on their terrace, adults chatting, eating and drinking, and many children splashing around in the pool. It was still going strong when we left at midnight.

This morning, the daily visit to the swimming pool for walking in water, and then the communal Sunday lunch laid on by the village social club. From there, it was straight to Just Talk. We were a small and select group, but we had a couple of new visitors Only two native French speakers, so I just made everyone speak French. By the time we were done, I was ready to go home, have a refreshing shower, and sprawl on the daybed with Mystère once more. I've started reading The Overstory for my English book group -- should keep me going.
