Red Alert

While Ollie dog was having a paddle at Fishers Green I spotted these damselflies on a stick that was in the water. I think one might be a small red-eyed damselfly as it has a bronze top to its thorax and greyish legs. These have only recently colonised the UK. The red-eyed damselfly is larger and has black legs. A common blue damselfly is flying in. I was hoping to better this shot when Ollie decided to haul the twig out and present it to me. :)

I got some great images of willow emeralds at home, including the first males that I have seen this season. My aim is to get an image of them mating.
