Peacock butterfly on buddleia

We're two Catan games into the weekend and I am yet to win!

Also today after lunch we wandered down to, and then around, Biggar. The rain held off until late afternoon, arriving in spectacular style with thunder and lightning.

While in Biggar we visited a few shops including the Chest, Heart and Stroke charity shop. There I bought two items: a small dark green 1970s vase that matches the saucers that I use as plant pot stands in our sitting room; a zip-up pouch that depicts Lindisfarne Castle (and retails at £15.95 on the artist's web site). Each item cost £1.50.

This evening promises more relaxation in the form of drinks, dinner, chat and possibly more games.

I photographed this peacock butterfly just after we set off on our walk down to Biggar.

Exercise today: small amount of walking (9364 steps).
