No it’s not taken, but edited today. Horrid (heavy rain and strong wind - again). As we’re out this evening, been trying to have a lazy day at home, with limited success.

I completed an e-consultation requesting my annual blood tests (were due in April, no notification received from GP). An hour to complete the form, won’t bore you with details.

A couple of hours later (gosh that was quick) informed tests are showing on my e-record and advised to call to make an appointment..

Alas, told they no longer do blood tests at a nearby clinic (bus 10mn) or the hospital (bus 25 mns), both with buses stopping nearby Tests are now at a surgery 45mns away (with a 1km walk from the bus-stop). Bad enough, in the summer heat, but no desire to struggle through rain and snow. And that’s a morning or afternoon lost. OK, by car it’s quicker, providing roads aren’t gridlocked. Feel sorry for the elderly, and there are plenty in our area.

It’s already bad enough not being able to get an appt with any GP for 4 weeks at my surgery, not even with a nurse specialist for 10 days.

Off to check out another surgery tomorrow. Had enough. Especially when friends and family don’t face the same issues. Pity as some of our GPs are excellent.

Back to my blip. Passers-by were intrigued by some of this gentleman’s unique moves, performed to the dulcet sounds of a guitarist. And, no doubt he left with a cap full of coins. Perhaps he’ll bring a smile to your face!?

Thanks Laurie for hosting another Happy Hump Day.
