Wet Wednesday

We had arranged  to meet John and Jennie at Coughton Court today.  A look at the weather forecast persuaded us all that tramping round gardens in the pouring rain wasn't probable the best idea so we had a last minute change and met them for lunch at the Rose & Crown at Portway.

We haven't been there for years but a look at the web site/menu and we decided that would do.  The pub is very large and was completely empty when we arrived.  They reassured us they were serving food so we settled down for a drink, a meal and a nice chat.  The food was very good, veggie burger with sweet potato fries for me, with Tribute on draft.

The rain had eased off by the time we left and went our separate ways. 

We decided to pop into Coughton on the way home, as we were passing, for a cup of tea and a brief walk round the gardens.  This is one of the many rain droplet flowers on display.
