A day in the life

Concert

The culture festival of Västra Alsjö was held last night and I got to play at it. Every seat was taken plus a few standing rooms as well which meant about 40-45 people, it's a very small place -a big living room really. But the atmosphere was excellent, as was the performers and the variety.

The evenings host and owner of the theatre Johan Bernander, read a couple of poems in honour of Claes Andersson, a Swedish poet who died a couple of weeks ago. Next he sang a few songs from his own one-man-play about Arabia Felix
We heard two songs from another musical play, "I wish I were a goose"  performed by Mia the playwriter and Ove the musician. We then got to hear two songs by Tom Waits performed by the main act for the evening, led and excellently sung by Johan Bernander professionally accompanied by the six musicians you see in the blip. Before the break I did my own twenty minute performance "A calm moment", playing short classical guitar pieces and reading poems connected to the country and time the pieces were written in.
After the break, the Tom Waits orchestra performed for another forty minutes leaving the audience in a very happy and excited state.

The first culture festival of Västra Alsjö is over, being a huge success. We believe it will be back next year. See you then, Welcome.
