A Day Worth Recording

Swiss Wall

For our anniversary A gave us some money to spend on a memento of the Switzerland trip, originally intended that we purchased a souvenir there. For various reasons we didn't, so we decided to put the money to a photo book and some wall-sized prints.

I'm still working on the book, but we took advantage of PhotoBox's sale to acquire a couple of large canvasses which arrived in the post today.

This scene is from our walk from Lucerne. It's across lake Lucerne from the Meggen side to Rigi (the mountain on the left).

--
Arriving home to a house full of seven students and very few clean plates, mugs or glasses - we took ourselves off to the pub and left them to sort themselves (and the kitchen) out.

--
Previously I'd not been a fan of canvas prints - all rather too hotel corporate - but these look good, especially as it's a wall that difficult for anything reflective.

I'm sure I'll stop noticing the various photographic flaws soon. Not editing them out comes of making a fairly last minute decision on which medium, then what proportion, then what image to use, in the closing hours of the sale.

Planning? pah!
