Christening of the New Table

I collected Daughter Number 2 from Redhill train station so we could walk Bella in Reigate Priory before we headed up to Wokingham to see Daughter Number 1 and Spencer, loaded with drills and tools so we could help them put up some mirrors and bits in their new flat.

I literally couldn't wait to see them to see how they had settled in. Mr W joined us on is motorbike so he could leave when he wanted to.

I enjoyed helping show Spencer how to measure up the wall and plan how to hang the heavy mirrors (I made the one in this picture when I owned a Picture framing business). I even taught Emily how to fill a hole!!!! She even managed to hang a few coat hooks and put the mirror up in the hall.

Emily has never, ever been one for DIY and has never shown an interest in it so this makes me even prouder that she actually wanted to do it and learn.

I cooked them all a roast dinner (well we all chipped in) and we sat at their brand new table, complete with cardboard and T towel placemats before Josh and Spencer put the Next Delivery of a nest of tables and TV stand together while us girls watched and Bella helped distribute the polystyrene all over the sitting room!!!

Sadly Mr W got caught in a really heavy downpour on his bike (without his waterproofs) when there was meant to be a 0% chance of rain (hes a fair weather rider!) but he was able to get home before us and enjoy a few hours piece before we got home and Bella decided to play with her new honking pig - as loud as she possibly could!!
