Patio Update

Shortly after I posted my last update on the goings-on at our neighbour across the street's outdoor space, all work came to a screeching halt, and nothing has happened there from July 22nd until this morning.  Even though there are still odd unfinished "holes" in the bizarre stonework, countless large grey metal boxes and some strange ladder-like structures miraculously appeared late this morning.  We watched excitedly as the languid crew of six strapping men wandered slowly around, checking their cell phones, drinking from water bottles, gazing at the view, and occasionally casting a casual glance at a white paper which appeared to be a plan for the placement of said boxes.  After two and a half hours of not much happening, they shrugged their shoulders, gesticulated at one another, packed up their gear and left!  Perhaps more of the mystery will be revealed tomorrow.
